This newly formed ministry of Saint Barbara Greek Orthodox Church will seek to provide a link between the needs of the whole person (body, mind, and soul) and the resources of the church and community. It is a ministry shaped by Christ's mission of healing the whole person.
Volunteer nurses will work closely with Father Peter in a confidential manner to identify, support, and guide those within our parish family who are in need of assistance. We hope to be able to provide our parishioners with many resources including blood pressure clinics, cholesterol and glucose screenings and lectures on different health related topics.
Parish Nurses will strive to be available as a resource to the community providing parishioners with information about a wide range of health related topics including referrals to physicians, support groups, community agencies and parish resources.
